National Safe Work Month 2026: Staying Safe and Staying Connected at HTS
On a remote construction site, help is rarely around the corner. That makes safety as much about the people beside you as it is about any procedure.
This October, National Safe Work Month is a chance to put that front and centre. The 2026 theme from Safe Work Australia, Safe Work is For Life, is a reminder that work health and safety is about protecting people's health and futures, not only getting through the day.
At HTS, we capture this every day with our own motto and way of doing things: Stay Safe, Stay Connected. It stands for communication, looking out for one another, and strong connections across teams, which is especially important when projects are delivered in remote and challenging environments.
This message is backed by how HTS approaches safety on the ground. Everyone on a project has the right and authority to stop work if something isn’t safe. ISO-certified systems and real-time hazard tracking sit behind that authority.
Wellbeing is part of the picture too. RUOK? is built into how HTS creates safer, stronger teams, because looking after each other includes looking out for mental health.
At the heart of it, strong construction safety starts with people and the shared responsibility to make sure everyone gets home safely. That is the goal on every HTS project, this month and every month.
